I developed all the writing, layout, type treatment and images for a feature called “My Month in a Mason Jar” – appearing in a sustainability magazine called Viable. All the components of this feature are my own original designs, execution, and writing.

I updated and augmented visual content needed for social media posts, newsletters, website and some print posters for Calgary–based Unleashed Dance Company. These designs use stock photography as credited. The type treatments and designs are my own executions.

Brand Concepts & Packaging for Juggle
“Bravo on your bottle balancing act!”
I developed the complete brand identity including product name, logo, wordmark, brand colour and type guidelines, tagline, and brand story copywriting for a travel bottle warmer marketed to new parents. I also developed the packaging design. All components are my own original designs, executions, and writing.

I developed an ambient environmental ad concept proposal for Jeep, to promote their branding and logo in a more experiential and surprising way within a city environment. All components are my own photography, original designs and executions.

Map Design Proposal for Fort Calgary
A proposed map design for Fort Calgary. I developed categories for thematic areas of the museum and a system of icons for finding important services and points of interaction. All aspects of the map are my own original design and execution.

Branding & Digital for CAN-VAS Car Share Concept
“Artistically Driven”
My colleague and I developed the brand community concept, logo, wordmark, brand colour, and mocked-up layouts for web and app design for a proposed car share service that spotlights the work of local artists as decals on the side of a fleet of fiat 500s. Mock-ups from this student project feature stock images and a painting by Francoise Nielly. All remaining components are our original designs, executions, and concepts.

Editorial Design & Content for Viable Magazine
In the lead up to Earth Day 2019, my colleague and I developed the entire Viable Magazine brand, brand story, brand guidelines, type treatment, layout systems and ad content. All text and visuals are entirely our own original design, execution, and writing.

Motion Graphic Video for a Film Screening
I developed a short typography focused motion graphic video as a student project to promote a hypothetical film screening of Jean-Marc Vallée films. The music accompanying the video is “Detour Nostalgique” by Jean Christian Arod. The illustrations and type animation are my own original designs and executions.

Wireframing Learning Process
Although it is an area that needs further development, I have some beginner experience with web design and wireframing; and translating designs into HTML and CSS. This page documents web, tablet and mobile wireframing for a hypothetical portfolio website. I designed these mock-ups in InDesign and executed a prototype in McCaw. I also have experience prototyping app design in InVision and Figma.
